1. Explain why the area of a rectangle and the area of a parallelogram made from the rectangle are the same. Include diagrams with your answer.
If you take the triangle and move it over to where it fits, it's still the same shape, just at a different angle.
2. Deepa determined the area of this parallelogram to be 5cm2.
a) Deepa did 2.5 x 2 which is 5. Deepa was supposed to find the height which the height was 2 cm. b) b x h = 4 cm 2cm x 2cm = 4 cm2
3. These parallelograms are drawn on centimeter grid paper. What is the area of each parallelogram?
a) 3cm2
b) 6 cm2

Madeline,I like your post,you did everything that we should do in a post.(which makes it hard to give suggestions)I think the only thing you can try to improve is to change the size of the font, try to make your answers bigger so people see it right away.
