Step 1 (Solve) - All your trying to do is isolate the variable.
So first you add -4 to +4, then add -4 to 10, because if youdo something to one side, you have to do it to the other.
A + 4 = 10
A + 4 -4 = 10 -4
A = 6
Step 2 (Check) - Rewrite your equation, replace the variable
with whatever number it equaled. If your answers are the
same on both sides then you are correct.
A + 4 = 10
6 + 4 = 10
10 = 10
