Fractions, Decimals, Percents

In class today we learned that a

Fraction- is out of any whole #
e.g 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 123/219

Decimal- is out of 1
e.g 0.5/1, 0.1/1, 0.001/1, 0.123/1, 0.2/1

Percent- is out of 100
e.g 50% 2% 25%
50/100 2/100 25/100

% means /100

Today we had to find out what 50% out of 10 was, 77% of 17, and 62.5% 24

For the rest of the class we worked on our textbooks pages 129-131
#1-3
Our homework for today is doing our homework booklets pages 40-41

Here is a video to help you.

hey beverly, great scribe post. i really like the pictures you put on your scribe. it helps me turn a fraction in to a decimal. i think that you could change the font colours or the size of the font so that i would stand out more better. i also found another video for you to put.

over all you did a great job:)

Beverly, great post! I like your picture, they are very nice. However, for the fraction chart, 0.75 should be = 3/4, not 3/7. 3/7 = 0.428571428571428571428571.
Great Job Beverly!

Hi beverly. I really really like your scribe post. I really how you explained it by using the pictures. By the wzay nice picture it says the one on our notes. Just advice I think you could have explained more then putting a lot of pictures. I also like you video. Oh ya and you put "3/7 but its suppose to be 3/4". Just like Cindy said. I also think you could have made ytour font bigger and touch a little colour. You also did a good job. Good Job Beverly :)

Hey Beverly! Great job on your post! I like that you explained everything that we did today. Anyway, I think you should put a little detail on every image that you have inserted. You could have also change the font color and the size. By the way, I love your pictures! Well done Bev!

Some links that you could have put
Videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlqhVldVces or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04eEAxkc4bk

Hi Beverly, this is am amazing scribe post! I liked how you added pictures with your explanation. I also liked how you added color to your pictures. But you wrote 3/7 is equal to 0.75. It is supposed to be 3/4 is equal to 0.75. But other than that, your scribe post is amazing.
Here is a video that I think you should add. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vau7HN9l6ao

Hi Beverly, your scribe post is awesome! The video you added was interesting and the pictures were easy to understand. But you wrote 3/7 is equal to 0.75. 3/4 is equal to 0.75. But other than that your scribe post was very well done. Great job Beverly!
Here is another video that I think you may like.

great job Beverly,
the video was boring though. Next time get a video that kind of attracts people so they get interested and the peers will pay more attention to it. It did make sense though.
GREAT JOB!!!

Hi Beverly, nice scribe-post. I liked how you put lots of pictures. In one of the pictures 3/7 is supposed to be 3/4, because 3/4=0.75. I found a video that you could put on your post.
