7. What is the area of each parallelogram?

b) b= 7cm, h= 9 cm

c) The height is 6.2 m and the base is 3 m

8. Determine the area of each parallelogram.

c) The base is 4.5 cm and the height is twice the base

4.5 cm (divided by) 2 = 2.25 cm

10.125 cm

9. Workers are putting new flooring in the community centre. A section og the floor is going to have a parallelogram -shaped design. There are enough floor tiles to cover an area of 12m
². The base will be 3m. What can the height of the design be?

3x 4= 12

heey danilyn (: goodjob on your scribe-post you explained the 7-9 parts on the textbook. & I really like your diagrams they really showed how it was suppose to be. && im not really sure about number 9 because I put 12x3=36m but ithink your the right one. HAHA and you could've added a picture for number 9 so I could understand it more. but other then that, your post was really great and easy to understand. goodjob (:

Hey Danilyn, I really liked your scribe-post. I lie how you explained the pages 7-9 from the textbook really well. I liked how your pictures had to do something about what your talking about, but how come you don't have a picture for number 9? Anyways I loved you scribe-post! :)

Hey, Danilyn! Good job for putting an effort on your post. It's really well organize and I like that you put a color on the text. It's really easy for us to see which one is the question and which one is the answer.

eg. 5cm x 11cm= 55cm2
eg. 7cm x 9cm= 63cm2

Hi Danilyn, awesome scribe post! I liked how you explained how you got the answer. The explanations was very easy to understand. But for questions #7 and 8 I think the answers are suppose to be squared.
Here are the correct answers:

7. a) 55cm2 b)63cm2 c)18.6m2
8. a) 27m2 b) 113.16mm2 c)40.5cm2

For question #9 the answer is 4cm, not 12m. Yes 3 x 4 is 12 but the question is asking you what can the height of the design be if the base is 3m and the area is 12m2.
12 ÷ 3 = 4
