Every triangle is half of a parallelogram. We know the formula to find the area of a parallelogram is base times height. So the formula of a triangle is half of the area of a parallelogram . The formula of the area of a triangle is base times height divided by two.
The height of a triangle has a perpendicular line from the base to the opposite angle.

Jason, I liked your picture, it shows clearly how to find the height of the triangle. However, your post can be improved if you changed the size and color of your font. Other than that, your post was great!
