Pages 4-6 question and answers

Text Book ( 4-6)

4. Determine the area of each parallelogram. they are drawn on the cm grid paper.

A) if you look at A you can see that the base = 4 cm and the h = 1 cm so if you multiply 4 x 1 = 4cm*

B) if you look at B you can see that the base = 3 cm and the h = 3 cm so if you multiply 3x3 = 9 cm*

5. Draw each of the parallelograms on a centimetre grid paper. Check your answers using estimation.

B) b = 3 cm h = 7 cm

6. Draw each parallelogram cm grid paper. Determine each area using the formula. Check your answer using estimation.

A) h = 6cm,b = 4cm

B) h = 2cm,b = 4cm

Good job on your post Kassey! I really liked how you put your answer in a different color.

Hi Kassey! Great scribe post! Don't forget to put "squared" on your answers, for example "A=3x3=9cm2". I like the images that you added, and how the base and height is highlighted! Good job! Here is a game/link that helps you practice finding the area of a parallelogram ;

Great job Kassey, I love how you made the keywords pop out from the other details. Then again, great job!

Kassey, you post was good,I liked the way you change the colors of answers,so it stands out.But you forget to put a link, here is a website that I find on area of paralleligrams

Good Job Kassey!

hi kassey good job you did everything what we had on the text book pages. I think you should put squared after your done your question just for advice.you did a good job with your pictures and how you explained. you should also make your font just one more bigger to people to see. just these things for advice and i think it will be awesome. All i have to say good job and thanks :)

Hi Kassey! Your scribe is awesome! I liked how you took the picture from our text book and added to your scribe post for question #4. But for question #5 you wrote down. Draw each of the parallelograms on a centimetre grid paper. Check your answers using estimation. But you only wrote down half of the question. The whole question is:
5. Draw each of the following
parallelograms on centimetre
grid paper. Use the formula to
determine the area of each
parallelogram. Check your
answers using estimation.
a) b = 4 cm, h = 5 cm
( 4cm x 5cm = 20cm2)
b) b = 3 cm, h = 7 cm
(3cm x 7cm = 21cm2

For question #6 you didn't find the area of the parallelogram. Here are the answers:
6. a) 4cm x 6cm = 24 cm2
b) 4cm x 2cm = 8 cm2
Awesome scribe post!
To make your scribe post even better here is a link I think you should add.

Hi Kassey! Great work on the scribe post! I liked how you high line the key parts and I liked how you use different colours. For #5, you didn't write the full question, therefore you didn't solve the rest of the question. Here's the question:
5. Draw each of the following
parallelograms on centimetre
grid paper. Use the formula to
determine the area of each
parallelogram. Check your
answers using estimation.
So you forgot to find the areas. Here's the areas for questions A)and B)
A) 20cm2
B) 21cm2
And for #6, you forgot to put the answers, so here they are.
A) 24cm2
B) 8cm2

Hey there Kassey, good job on your scribe post. I really liked how you explained everything that was on the textbook. I also liked how you highlighted, for advice i think you should have put the "squared" after the answer. You did a good job though. :)

hey kassey good job but next time put squared at the end because your talking about closed in shapes but good job highlighting the importent words.

Hi Kassey. Nice scribe-post. You answered all of the questions in the textbook. On all of the questions, your supposed to put cm2 at the end of your answer. The video was really helpful.

Hey Kassey! Good job on your Scribe-post. I like that you highlight the important stuff. Anyway, you forgot to put the *cm2* on your answers for all of your questions. Wouldn't be also better if you make your font bigger for the questions? It will really help us see better. Here are some worksheet that would help everyone: http://www.homeschoolmath.net/teaching/g/area_3.php

Here is a link full of videos on finding the area of parallelogram:

Thanks!!
