Today in class we talked about Organizing Outcomes.
For eg. If you were playing a game and you were going to pick a number you will organize how many ways you can make that number with different cards. Like there were 3 cards left and there was 2 people. You will do it like (3,1) (3,2) (2,1) (2,2) (1,2) (1,2). You could also do a chart. We also talked about Independent Events and Sample Space.
Independent events- the outcome of one event has no effect on the outcome of another event.
Sample space- all possible outcomes of an experiment.
we had a question which was A coin was flipped a six-sided die is rolled.
a)Use a table to list all possible ways.
b)How many possible outcomes are there
c)Write the sample space for this combination of events.
A there is (1,heads) (1,tails) (2,heads) (2,tails) (3,heads) (3,tails) (4,heads) (4,tails) (5,heads) (5,tails) (6,heads) and (6,tails)
B There are 12 possible outcomes (aka) also known as sample space.
C The sample space is the numbers and tails of A.
We also talked about Second way and Tree diagram.
Second way- to organize outcomes.
Tree diagram- a diagram used to organize outcomes contains a branch for each possible outcomes of an event.
Her are some pictures of Tree Diagram

Hi Aaron. Good job on your scribe post, but instead of using "eg." you should have just put example to make it more clear to the reader, and the part "Second way- to organize outcomes." should have just been a sentence without the dash. I also noticed that you didn't have a video so I found a video that you can use: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gV8LXjzE6w
Hi Aaron. Great scribe post. Your images should be larger. Everything is well explained, the only 2 things your missing is a link and a video. Good job!
here is a video on tree diagrams : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkDzmI7YOx0&feature=related
here is a link on probability :

Hi Aaron. Nice scribe and good picture. Your scribe is just like what we did in math. You should have a video so here is a video that you could use in your next scribe.
