bi - two
sect - cut
bisect - to cut in two
Perpendicular Bisectors
1. Draw a line segment
2. sharp end of compass on point A
3. make an arc slightly larger than half the length of the line segment
4. repeat the process from point B with the same size arc
5. with a ruler join the two arc intersections with a straight line
6. you now have a perpendicular bisector
Another way to make a perpendicular bisector is ;
1. draw a line segment
2. measure with a ruler
3. divide the measurement by two that is the half way point
4. use a right angle triangle to create a perpendicular line at the half way point
The third way is ;
In class today, we also did page 91 in our textbook, only the "show you know"
You had to include all 3 ways of perpendicular bisectors.
We also had to do page 92 in our textbooks. Numbers 1-3
For homework : pages 28-29 in our homework booklet.
Here is a quick video on how to draw a perpendicular bisector of a line :
Here is a link that can help you on perpendicular bisectors.

Hannah, your post was great,I like it very much. What I like the most is the video,it teaches us how to draw a perpendicular bisector using a compass.I have a little suggestion, you could change the colors of the font,so things can stand out.
Hey there Hannah, you did a great job on your scribe post. You explained everything that we did in class today. I like how you put all three ways of making a perpendicular bisector. :)
heeey . hannah (: good job with your scribe-post. I really liked how you explained everthing that we talked about yesterday & what we learned in math. make sure to add a link. && hope this link could help (: http://www.cut-the-knot.org/Curriculum/index.shtml

THANKS Hannah this scribe post really helped me and it says everythink we learned yesterday thanks again and mabe next time you canadd alink but great goob! :)
Hey Hannah. Like your scribe.you could of put what a perpendicular bisect is if it helps.
I really like your scribe-post. You explained everything we did in class, the other day. I liked the part where you explained the ways on how to draw a perpendicular bisector. The video helped me on how to draw a perpendicular bisector. I think you should change the color of the font.
Great Job on your scribe post, but it would help us if you explained what a perpendicular bisector is. Although the explanation was missing, you still did a great job!
Hi Hannah you did a great job! You made it really clear of what we did in class the other day. I like the video and the pictures that you put up. But next time I would like to see bigger font or different colors of the font.
Hi Hannah ! :D I really liked your scribe-post. It was really organized, and you explained everything we did in class today! Thank you Hannah. :D
Hi hannah, I really liked your scribe post on how to make a perpendicular bisector. I liked how you explained how to do a perpendicular bisector step by step. That gave me a better understanding. To make your scribe even better, here is another video that you should add on how to make a perpendicular bisector.

Hi Hannah, great scribe post! I liked how you explained the 3 different ways on how to make a perpendicular bisector. Also I really like how you explained it step by step because it gave me a better understanding of how to make a perpendicular bisector. Maybe next time you should add more colours and make the fonts a little larger. I know you already have a video, but here's another interesting one I'd found.

I really like how your scribe is organized, great job.
Hey Hannah nice job you have everything we want for math I like your video very much :)
nice post hannah it helped alot like the video
Great job hannah it will teach people how to make perpendicular bisectors
Hey, Hannah! You did a wonderful job with this post. It was like repeating class all over again! You included everything that was needed and you were very descriptive. Good job! :)
Hi Hannah. This was very well done. The pictures were a very good example. You could have added some color to make it easier to read. Great job.

Good Job Hannah and nice scribe post!!!!!! :-)
wow good scribe-post. It helped me understand this a lot better.
nice scribe post hannah it really help me to understand perpendicular bisector
Hi Hannah. I like it how you explained what we did in class really well! I also like the pictures that you put up. I also like the video you put up. It was very helpful. But next time I think that you should put the font a little bit bigger and in different colors.
