Organizing Outcomes

ORGANIZING OUTCOMES

There are two ways to organize an outcome :
1) first way is to make a chart or a table

favourable outcome
possible outcome

Independent events- the outcome of one event has no effect on the outcome of another event
EXAMPLE:

Sample space- all possible outcomes of an experiment EXAMPLE:

12 possible outcomes in this probability ( sample space)

2) the second way to organize outcomes

Tree diagram- a diagram used to organize outcomes contains a branch for each possible outcomes

Hey Kassey. Great scribe and good pictures and video. Why did you put the favourable outcome and possible outcome because you didn't have to put that with what you were saying. Here is a video that you could also use in your next scribe.

Hi Kassey,I think that you did an awesome job on your scribe post!I liked how you highlighted the key words. Your pictures were easy to understand, but I think that you should make the font a little bigger. Here is a link that I think you might want to add to your scribe post: http://www.cut-the-knot.org/Probability/SampleSpaces.shtml

Hi Kassey, awesome scribe post! I liked how you high lined the key words. Your scribe post was very organized which made it very easy to read. I liked how you added pictures with your explanations. Good work Kassey! Maybe next time, you should make the font a little bigger. It was kind of hard reading the little words in the pictures. Here's a link you may want to add to your scribe post:
