"Math notes for Probability"

Probability- like hood or chance for an event occurring.

-We determine probability by making a fraction.

For example:

Flipping a coin

Calling heads

 

                                                                                        

Probability can be express written using fractions, ratios, or percents.

 

                                                                                       

Outcome- one possible results of a probability.

 Favorable Outcome-  a successful results in a probability experiment.

p(outcome) is short for saying probability of something happening.

e.g. p(5) when rolling a dice.
