Today in class we talked about different kinds of diagram.

Carroll Diagram- is a table used to show how numbers are the same and different

Example

Use Carroll Diagram to sort 30, 79, 162, 3996, 23517, 31974

A Venn Diagram shows relationships between groups of numbers

Example

Use Venn Diagram to sort 93, 540, 955, 8060, 67982, 84430

Common Factor

A number that two or more numbers are divisible by

Example: 4 is a common factor of 8 and 12

Find the factor of 24

Find the factor of 32

Find the common factor of 24 and 32

Find the greatest common factor

The common factors are 1, 2, 4, and 8.

The greatest common factor is 8.

Homework:

Find the factors of 18

Find the factors of 30

Find the common factors of 18 and 30

Find the greatest common factor of 18 and 30

Here is a link about Venn Diagrams.

This is a video about finding the greatest common factor between two numbers.

Hi Cindy, I thought that you did an awesome job on your scribe post! I liked how you made the font different colors. I also liked how you showed pictures of a Carroll Diagram and a Venn Diagram. To make your scribe post even better, you should make the font a little bit bigger so it is more easier to read. Other than that I thought you did an awesome job! Her is another link that I think you might like:

Hi Cindy! Great job on the scribe post! I really liked how added pictures and changed the color of the font. To make your scribe post even better, I think you should make your font a little bit larger so it would be a little bit easier to read. Other than that, I thought you did a great job. Here's a link to a math game you may want to look at.

Hey Cindy, great job on your scribe post. I liked how you put everything that we did in class today, and how you explained everything so clearly so that we can understand. I think that you could have made the font more bigger other then that Great Job.:)

Hi Cindy! I like how you organized your blog very well. The pictures are great but I think for the "Carroll Diagram" the pictures could have been a little bit bigger. I also like how you chose a lot of different colors but I think the font size could be more bigger.
Good Job!
